You are removing dog hair: tips for your clothes and co.

Almost every dog owner knows dog hair problems in the apartment or clothing. For some, removing all dog hair seems even a practically unsolvable task. The vacuum cleaner alone does not help. Here you will find tips that help in the fight against annoying hair.

The shiny coat of your four-legged friend attracts attention, and you are as proud as a honey-cake horse. However, you will lose your laughter at the latest when you find the hair of your faithful companion all over your clothes. The best prevention to get rid of annoying hair is to comb your dog regularly.

Preventing flying hairs by combing them

It doesn’t matter if your dog has short or long fur – both types of skin shed hair. You can get the hair loss under control by brushing your animal friend, preferably once in the morning and evening. Which dog brush is suitable depends on your dog’s coat.

● Dogs with long fur comb with a brush with long bristles.
● Dogs with a short coat comb primarily with a quick toothed brush.
● In the case of a dense undercoat, a plucking comb helps.

Daily grooming has another positive effect: it stimulates blood circulation to the skin.

Removing dog hair on clothes with a clothes dryer

If you have a clothes dryer, you can use it to remove dog hair. If suitable for drying, put the hairy clothes in them and let the dryer run for about five minutes. The movement in the drum and the airflow will ensure that the hair ends up in the lint filter.

Adhesive tape to remove dog hair.

Another tip is to use duct tape or painter’s tape. The dog hair should stick to this effect, but this method is very time-consuming. With the help of fine pantyhose, which they moisten, or slightly damp rubber gloves, you can achieve the same effect. By the way, this works not only for fully hairy clothes but also for dog hair on the couch or carpet.

Purchasable aids for removing dog hair

Commercially available, for example, are so-called lint balls, which you put into the washing machine. These attract and hold the dog hair but are not suitable for delicate textiles. Helpful in removing the hair from good clothes can also be lint rollers.

These are available with adhesive tape but are also made of fabric. In addition, lint rollers made of silicone or rubber are effective in the fight against dog hair. The latter offers the advantage of being easy to clean and reusable more often. It’s best to try several methods to find out which works most effectively.
