Make your own dog cake: Delicious recipe without baking

It’s your dog’s birthday and you want to give him a surprise? Then why not conjure up a dog cake for him! The delicious gift addition to dog toys is sure to be a huge highlight for your birthday dog. Here you will find a delicious and especially simple recipe.

A successful dog cake should taste first and foremost. In addition, you do your darling good if the small, culinary surprise is healthy and contains no questionable ingredients. Also, it is advantageous if the preparation of the dog cake is simple and can be done quickly. Especially nice in the following recipe: it does not require any baking at all.

Recipe for a dog cake: these ingredients you need

The basis for this dog tart recipe is ground beef and protein-rich low-fat curd. To prepare it, you will need a round cake pan with a diameter of 28 cm.

Be sure to use only ingredients that are suitable for dogs. Sugar, chocolate and Co. are harmful for your four-legged friend and therefore taboo. Flour, in turn, contains carbohydrates and thus increases the risk of obesity. Better are there a few treats or even unseasoned liver sausage or meat sausage as a decoration for the dog cake suitable.

Here is an overview of all the ingredients:

1 kg ground beef
800 g low-fat curd cheese
4 carrots
1 zucchini
Decoration suitable for dogs (for example, treats or liverwurst for dogs)
Preparation: How to make the delicious dog cake

To prepare the simple dog tart, proceed as follows:

Divide the minced meat into two halves.
The first part forms the base: put the minced meat evenly into the mold and press it lightly.
On top of the layer of meat, place sliced zucchini – ideally, slice the vegetables so thinly that they can cover an entire layer with the slices.
Spread a thin layer of low-fat cottage cheese over the zucchini – but save most of the cottage cheese for later.
On top of the curd, grate the carrots, for example with the help of a vegetable grater.
The next layer is the second part of minced meat. Spread the meat evenly on the curd-carrot layer and press everything lightly.
Finally, spread the remaining curd over the entire dog tart and smooth it out – you can also smear the sides with curd.
If you like, you can now decorate the dog cake with treats as you like.

Store dog tart fresh and eat it quickly

The raw minced meat in the dog cake quickly goes bad if unrefrigerated, so your four-legged friend should eat the birthday surprise as quickly as possible. To prevent him from overeating, you should serve the cake instead of a meal and not give it in addition.
Note: The recipe makes quite a large dog cake and is more suitable for larger breeds. For small dogs, you can reduce the amount accordingly and use a small cereal bowl as a ramekin instead of a cake pan, for example.
